2-Day Pamukkale & Aphrodisias Tours from Pamukkale Hotels
Day 1: Pamukkale White Terraces & Hierapolis Ancient City Tour
09:30 – Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Pamukkale town by our travel team. (The pickup time may vary according to the locations of your hotels.)
Then, meet your local professional tour guide and take a short drive to the Pamukkale White Terraces in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
Start your guided day tour with a visit to the Hierapolis Ancient City, where you will explore:
- The Antique Theatre,
- The Cemetery of the Antique World (Necropolis),
- Other historical landmarks leading to the famous Calcium Terraces (white travertines).
Our knowledgeable tour guide will provide fascinating insights into these sites. You’ll also have some free time to relax on the white terraces or enjoy the Cleopatra Thermal Pool (entry to the pool is not included in the tour price).
After you explore Hierapolis and Pamukkale, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Pamukkale around 16:00.
Day 2: Aphrodisias Ancient City Tour
09:30 – Start your second day with a hotel pickup and meet your local tour guide.
Take a scenic drive to the Ancient City of Aphrodisias, known for its exceptional preservation and historical significance.
During your tour of Aphrodisias, you’ll visit:
- Sebasteion,
- Theatre,
- Odeon,
- Aphrodite Temple,
- Agora,
- Hadrian Baths,
- Tiberius Portico,
- Bishop Palace,
- Stadium, and
- Tetraphylon.
Your guide will share captivating stories about Aphrodite, the city’s namesake, and its significance in antiquity. You’ll also learn about the famous sculpture school of Aphrodisias, which produced remarkable sculptures that are still in excellent condition today. Additionally, you can explore the Aphrodisias Museum, which houses many of these sculptures and artifacts, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich cultural heritage. Aphrodisias has been mentioned in the Byzantine encyclopedia, Suda, and was home to notable philosophers like Xenocrates, a student of Plato.
Finally, at the end of the guided tour, return to your hotel around 17:00.
