3-Day Cappadocia & Pamukkale Tour from Istanbul
Day 1: Flight to Cappadocia & North Cappadocia Tour
04:00 AM: Pick up from your Istanbul hotel and transfer to the airport. (Pickup time may vary depending on your hotel and the season.)
07:10 AM: Flight from Istanbul to Kayseri/Nevşehir. (Flight times may vary depending on the availability and season.)
08:30 AM: Arrive at Cappadocia Airport, where our team will greet you and transfer you to meet your guide. Then, you will be transferred to the tour area.
- Start your tour at Devrent Valley, known for its unique fairy chimneys. Then, continue to Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) to see the iconic mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles.
- Afterward, visit Avanos, a pottery town renowned for its artisans. Stop here for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy traditional Turkish cuisine, also, we will explore how the potteries are made by the locals.
- After lunch, explore the Zelve Open-Air Museum, where you’ll see ancient Christian settlements and rock-carved churches.
- End the day with a visit to Uchisar Castle, the highest point in the region.
The tour ends around 16:00 / 17:00 (up to the season and day). Then, transfer you to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
Day 2: South Cappadocia Tour & Overnight Bus to Pamukkale
Additional activity 1: Hot air balloon flight is highly recommended; however, please note that the cost of the balloon tour is not included in this package. You can add it through the extra activities section when making your reservation.
Additional activity 2: To capture breathtaking photos with hot air balloons, join a Cappadocia hot air balloon watching tour.
Have a breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel before leaving for the tour. Your tour will start at 09:30 and your tour guide & tour group will meet you in your hotel.
- Start with a hike through Red Valley, known for its rock-cut churches and dramatic scenery. Continue the hike along Güllüdere Rose Valley, covering approximately 3 km.
- Visit Cavusin Village, famous for its ancient houses and churches. Learn about the early Christian heritage here.
- Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal. After lunch, we will continue to explore Pigeon Valley, where you’ll see dovecotes carved into the cliffs.
- Conclude the day with a visit to one of Cappadocia’s Underground Cities, designed to protect early Christians. Discover their rooms, halls, kitchens, and ventilation channels.
After the tour, transfer you to the bus station for your overnight journey to Denizli (Pamukkale) with some breaks on the way. (Bus time may vary depending on the availability and season.)
20:00 – Your bus departs from Cappadocia. This journey will take about 10 hours with breaks on the way for your needs. Have an overnight bus journey to Pamukkale.
Day 3: Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour & Return to Istanbul
Arrive early at Denizli bus station and transfer to Pamukkale. We will take you from the bus station and transfer you to our freshen-up room to get some rest. You will Freshen up and enjoy breakfast before starting the tour. The tour starting will be around 09:30 am.
Key Stops on the Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour
Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you’ll explore with your tour guide and tour group:
- The Necropolis, one of Anatolia’s largest ancient cemeteries.
- The Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, Main Street, and Byzantine Gate.
Continue to the Calcium Terraces, a stunning formation created by mineral-rich hot springs.
Optional Activity
Swim in the Ancient Thermal Pool of Cleopatra for an additional fee. (Bring your swimsuit if you wish to swim.)
The tour ends around 4 pm. Transfer to Denizli Airport for your evening flight back to Istanbul.

08:55 PM: Arrival in Istanbul, followed by a transfer to your hotel.
