- We use connected flight via Istanbul if there is no direct flight between Ephesus and Cappadocia.
5-Day Ephesus, Pamukkale, and Cappadocia Tours
Day 1: Flight to Izmir & Ephesus Tour
Early Morning:
04:00 – Hotel pickup in Istanbul for transfer to the airport and transfer you to the airport in Istanbul (pickup times vary by hotel and season).
07:00 – Flight from Istanbul to Izmir (departure times may change depending on season and availability).
Morning Arrival:
08:05 – Arrival at Izmir Airport. After your arrival, Meet the travel team holding a sign with your name. Transfer to Ephesus.
Ephesus Tour Highlights:
Visit the Temple of Artemis, an iconic monument and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Walk through the ancient Greco-Roman city of Ephesus, showcasing remarkable architecture and history.
Explore the House of the Virgin Mary, a sacred site revered by both Christians and Muslims, believed to be her last residence.
The final destination is a visit to the beautifully preserved Isabey Mosque, a masterpiece of Seljuk architecture.
Evening:
Afterward (around 16:00), transfer to your hotel to check-in. Overnight stay in Kusadasi/Selcuk.
Day 2 – Pamukkale Tour
Morning:
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your day tour to Pamukkale.
08:00 – Pick up from the hotel to meet your local tour guide. Then, transfer you to the first destination of the tour after meeting your tour group.
Pamukkale Tour Highlights:
Travel about 2,5 hours to Pamukkale town and visit the Ancient Hierapolis.
Explore the Necropolis, one of Anatolia’s largest cemeteries with over 1,200 graves.
See historic landmarks such as the Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, and Byzantine Gate.
Walk along the famous calcium terraces, formed by warm spring waters at 35°C / 102°F. (Optional: Swim in the ancient spring pool for an additional fee (bring your swimsuit)).
Evening:
Around 16:00 – After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Kusadasi/Selcuk.
Day 3 – Kusadasi to Cappadocia by Flight
Morning:
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel before noon. Free time before transfer to Izmir Airport (If your flight is late).
Flight:
Flight from Izmir to Cappadocia (via Istanbul if no direct flight is available).
Arrival in Cappadocia:
Once you arrive in Cappadocia, meet our travel team at Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport. Afterward, transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia. Check in and rest for the evening. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Day 4 – Guided North Cappadocia Tour
Additional activity 1: Hot air balloon flight is highly recommended; however, please note that the cost of the balloon tour is not included in this package. You can add it through the extra activities section when making your reservation.
Additional activity 2: To capture breathtaking photos with hot air balloons, join a Cappadocia hot air balloon watching tour.
Morning:
Breakfast at the hotel before the tour.
09:30 – Pick up from the hotel. You will meet your local tour guide and then, transfer to the tour area.
North Cappadocia Tour Highlights:
Devrent Valley: Explore unique fairy chimney formations, shaped by centuries of wind and rain.
Pasabag (Monk’s Valley): Marvel at the striking mushroom-shaped pinnacles, a natural wonder of the region.
Avanos Town: Enjoy lunch and discover the town’s pottery-making tradition, dating back thousands of years.
Goreme Panorama: Admire breathtaking views of Cappadocia’s surreal landscape from a prime vantage point.
Zelve Open-Air Museum: Walk through ancient rock-cut churches and learn about early Christian settlements.
Uchisar Castle (viewed from outside): See the region’s highest point, offering panoramic views and rich history.
Evening:
After the tour ends, transfer back to the hotel in Cappadocia. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Day 5 – Guided South Cappadocia Tour & Fly Back to Istanbul
Morning:
Breakfast and checkout from the hotel before leaving for the tour.
09:30 – Pickup for the guided South Cappadocia tour. Then, meet your tour guide and tour group to start your last day with us.
South Cappadocia Tour Highlights:
Red Valley: Hike approximately 3 km through rock-cut churches and stunning landscapes, enjoying breathtaking views along the way.
Gulludere Rose Valley: Continue exploring this scenic area, known for its vibrant colors and hidden rock churches.
Cavusin Village: Discover the charm of this historic village, famous for its ancient houses and churches carved into the rocks.
Pigeon Valley: Admire the unique rock formations and the pigeon houses carved by locals to collect fertilizer.
Ozkonak Underground City: Tour this fascinating self-sufficient city where Christians once hid from invaders, complete with ventilation systems and storage rooms.
Evening:
Once the tour ends, we will transfer you to Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport for the return flight to Istanbul.
19:45 – Flight to Istanbul (departure times may vary).
20:55 – Arrival in Istanbul. Later, our staff will welcome you at the exit and we will transfer you to your hotel in the center of Istanbul.
