Remarks
- The exact pickup time will be provided at the time of booking.
- No accommodation is provided on April 24. You will sleep under the stars at Anzac Cove, just as the ANZACs did in April 1915.
- It is recommended to bring a sleeping bag, blanket, or warm clothing to stay comfortable.
- The tour itinerary order may change to avoid congestion.
Istanbul to Gallipoli Anzac Day Tour with Troy
23 April – Depart From Istanbul & Gallipoli Tour
06:00 – 06:30 am: Pickup from hotels in Taksim, Beşiktaş, Şişli, and Karaköy.
06:30 – 07:00 am: Pickup from hotels in Sultanahmet, Beyazıt, Sirkeci, Laleli, and Aksaray.
08:30 am: Breakfast stop (at own expense).
11:45 am: Arrival in Eceabat for lunch. After lunch, you will depart for the Gallipoli sights.
- Ari Burnu: The first ANZAC landing site.
- Beach Cemetery: Resting place of John Simpson, the famous “man with the donkey.”
- ANZAC Cove: Iconic site where ANZAC troops landed during the campaign.
- Lone Pine Cemetery: Australian memorial honoring fallen soldiers.
- Johnston’s Jolly: Walk through preserved ANZAC trenches.
- Shrapnel Valley: Scenic valley significant to the ANZAC story.
- Turkish Memorial: Tribute to Turkish soldiers who defended their land.
- The Nek & Walker’s Ridge: Infamous battle site with incredible views.
- Chunuk Bair: The main New Zealand memorial commemorating their efforts.
17:00 – The Gallipoli tour ends and drives to the hotel. Check into the hotel. Overnight.
24 April – Troy Ancient City Tour & Drive to Anzac Cove
Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
08:30 – Pick up from the hotel and depart for the Troy Ancient City Tour.
Troy Tour Highlights:
- The Trojan Horse (used in the movie Troy).
- Helen of Troy & the Trojan Wars.
- The 3200-year-old city walls of Troy VI and VII.
- The East Gate and South Gate of Troy VI.
- The Temple of Athena.
- Schliemann’s Trench.
- The Scaean Gate & Sanctuary Altars.
- Roman Bath, Odeon, Bouleuterion, and Agora.
The tour ends around 11:30 AM and we will drop you off in the center of Canakkale. You will have free time until departure for Anzac Cove for Dawn Service.

16:00-16:30 – Depart from Eceabat town and drive up to Anzac Cove in Gallipoli.
We will try to get there as soon as possible to get a good position for the ceremonies. When the gate opens we will get into the service area get a good position and spend a night in the Anzac Ceremonies Area.
25 April – Dawn Service & Drive Back To Istanbul
05:30 – Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove
Begin the day with the solemn Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove.
Walk to Lone Pine for the Australian Ceremony
After the Dawn Service, proceed on foot to Lone Pine for the Australian National Ceremony. Note: No buses will operate in the ceremony area, so walking is necessary to access all locations.
10:30 – Australian National Ceremony at Lone Pine
11:30 – New Zealand National Ceremony at Chunuk Bair
Following the Australian ceremony, walk along the main road to Chunuk Bair for the New Zealand National Ceremony.
Along the Walk:
While walking to Chunuk Bair, visit significant landmarks including:
- Johnston’s Jolly: Preserved Turkish and ANZAC trenches.
- Steele’s and Courtney’s Post Cemetery.
- Quinn’s Post Cemetery.
- 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial.
After attending all the ceremonies, our tour buses will pick you up from the location of the last ceremony.
We will then drive back to Istanbul, where you will be dropped off near the Hagia Sophia Museum in Sultanahmet, the heart of the Old City.
