You will be picked up from your hotel in Kusadasi, Selcuk or cruise port and your guide will lead you to your private vehicle.
Continue to drive to Sardis (Sardes) Ancient City. It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes drive. Sardis is one of the most remarkable sightseeing areas of Turkey.
Your private tour guide is going to give you a brief introduction and provide information about the area and country.
Once the capital of the ancient Lydia, our first stop is Sardis Temple of Artemis, build 3rd century BC.
After a visiting the temple, we will have lunch then continue to visit Sardis ( Sardes ) ancient city.
The most important architectural works that were discovered here were The Synagogue and Gymnasium.
We know that when Babylon Temple was destroyed, 125,000 Jewish people moved to the western part of Turkey.
The Synagogue was built in honor of the Jews by Romans in the 2nd century A.D. We will see the famous Patroclos River.
It is believed King Midas of the Phrygians had a bath in it. Sardis was also one of the Seven Churches of the Revelation of St. John and the Sardis church is also a heavily visited area.
