South of Cappadocia Day Tour
09:30 am – You will be collected right from your hotel in Cappadocia towns by your private guide.
Once you meet with your private local professional tour guide start the day trip. Today with this tour, you are going to see the main area of Cappadocia region with our experienced Cappadocia tourist tour guide. Firstly we will visit the Red Valley (Kizilcukur), presenting an opportunity to hike through orchards and vineyards, between fairy chimneys and rock-carved houses. This was also used by Christians at the end of the 5th century, so you are going to explore the cave dwellings used by them and visit old churches too. Continue to walk to the Rose Valley. Afterward, visit the old Christian Village of Cavusin. It was exactly like a big town where you are going to see many cave rooms used as living rooms, sleeping rooms, kitchens, wineries, etc.
All of them are waiting for you to be explored. We will have a stop for lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, our next stop will be Ozkonak Underground City, which is probably the most attractive place to see in the area that you should not miss. It is the 2nd largest one in the area with its 4 levels and 40 meters depth. There are almost 40 underground cities like this in the region. They were used first by the Hittite civilization and later by Christians as a shelter in the war times. They carved lots of rooms all connected with tunnels. Our last stop is the Hospital Monastery (Ortahisar Castle), which is the first place in the area used as a hospital and health center by Christians.
Around 16:00 pm – After the day’s private tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
