Start of the Day: Hotel Pickup
At 09:30 am, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. With an experienced local guide, you’ll set out to explore Cappadocia’s stunning landscapes and rich history.
- First Stop: Göreme Open Air Museum
Begin your journey at the Göreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. This site features the best-preserved rock-cut churches, adorned with ancient frescoes. It offers a fascinating insight into Cappadocia’s Christian heritage. - Visit Çavuşin Village
Next, head to Çavuşin Village, an old settlement where Greek and Turkish communities coexisted until 1924. Wander through the abandoned cave homes, which served as living spaces until the 1950s. Your guide will share the village’s unique history and stories. - Explore Pasabag (Monks Valley)
The tour continues to Pasabag, also known as Monks Valley. This area is famous for its “mushroom-shaped” fairy chimneys, some of the best examples in Cappadocia. Enjoy a stroll through this magical landscape. - Discover Avanos and Pottery Workshop
After lunch, visit Avanos, a town known for its 4,000-year-old pottery tradition. Watch a pottery workshop demonstration, where artisans use ancient kick wheel techniques. You can even try making your pottery piece as a memorable experience. - Kaymaklı Underground City
Next, explore Kaymaklı Underground City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the tunnels and rooms of this ancient shelter, used by Hittites and Christians during times of war. Learn how people lived underground to protect themselves from danger. - Pigeon Valley and Uchisar Castle
End the tour with a stop at Pigeon Valley. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the valley and the natural fortress of Uchisar Castle. The scenery is perfect for photos and reflection on the day’s adventures.
