Gallipoli and Troy Tours from Bursa by Bus

 

Day 1 – Bursa to Canakkale by Bus & Gallipoli Tour

06:00 – Depart from Bursa bus station for Çanakkale. (Note: Departure time is subject to change.)
10:30 – Arrive at Çanakkale bus station. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to Çanakkale ferry station. Here, you will take a ferry to Eceabat on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

  • Free Time: Enjoy some time in the center of Eceabat until the tour begins.
  • Lunch: Relish a delicious meal at a local restaurant before starting the guided tour.

Each stop on the tour reflects a pivotal moment or figure in the history of Gallipoli. Below is a list of the locations you will visit, along with brief descriptions:

  • Brighton Beach – The initially intended landing site for the ANZAC troops, later changed to Anzac Cove.
  • Beach Cemetery – Known for the grave of John Simpson, a hero who carried wounded soldiers during the campaign.
  • Anzac Cove – The actual landing site of the ANZAC forces, now a solemn memorial.
  • Arıburnu Cemetery – A cemetery commemorating soldiers who fell during the Gallipoli campaign.
  • ANZAC Commemorative Site – A memorial area dedicated to the ANZAC soldiers and their sacrifices.
  • Respect to Mehmetçik Statue – Honors the Turkish soldiers (Mehmetçik) for their bravery and humanity during the war.
  • Lone Pine Australian Memorial – Commemorates Australian troops who fought at Lone Pine during the campaign.
  • Johnston’s Jolly – Preserved Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels, offering insight into trench warfare.
  • Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery- A site dedicated to the Turkish regiment that fought valiantly during the campaign.
  • The Nek- A narrow ridge where a tragic battle took place, highlighting the high cost of war.
  • Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial – Honors New Zealand soldiers who played a key role in capturing Chunuk Bair.

17:00 – The tour ends. We will transfer you to your hotel.
17:30 – Check-in at your hotel in Canakkale. Enjoy an overnight stay in the city to rest and reflect on the day’s experiences.

Day 2 – Troy Ancient City Tour & Return to Bursa

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast and check out from the hotel.
08:30 – You will be picked up from the hotel and take a ferry across the Dardanelles to Çanakkale. Upon arrival, continue by road to the ancient city of Troy to start a guided tour of this historic site.

During the Troy tour, you will explore and learn about the following landmarks:

  • The Trojan Horse: Discover the replica of the legendary wooden horse from the Trojan War.
  • Sacrificial Altars: See the ancient sacrificial altars used in rituals.
  • The 3,700-Year-Old City Walls: Marvel at the well-preserved walls that once protected the city.

The tour ends around 12:00 PM. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Canakkale bus station to catch your bus to Bursa.

17:30 – Arrive at Bursa Bus Station, marking the end of your tour.
