Gallipoli Anzac Day Dawn Service Tour
This tour takes you to Gallipoli to attend the Anzac Day Dawn Service and explore important historical sites. It’s a simple and meaningful journey that honors the memory of those who fought in 1915.
24 April: Departure from Istanbul
- 10:30-10:45 AM: Meet the group and our team in front of the Hagia Sophia Museum, Sultanahmet.
(Note: The meeting time may change based on government announcements about Anzac Cove entry.) - 11:00 AM: Depart from Istanbul and begin the drive to Gallipoli Peninsula in comfortable buses.
- We’ll stop along the way for lunch and refreshments.
- 4:30-5:00 PM: Arrive in Eceabat and continue to Anzac Cove.
- Upon arrival, we’ll secure a good spot in the service area. You’ll spend the night under the stars at Anzac Cove, just as the soldiers did in 1915.
25 April: Dawn Service and Return to Istanbul
- 5:30 AM: The Dawn Service begins at Anzac Cove, a moving tribute to the soldiers who served here.
- After the Dawn Service, walk to Lone Pine for the Australian National Ceremony.
- Please note, buses cannot enter the ceremony area, so we will walk between locations.
- 10:30 AM: Attend the Australian National Ceremony at Lone Pine.
- Walk to Chunuk Bair for the New Zealand National Ceremony.
- Along the way, visit historical sites such as Johnston’s Jolly (with remains of Turkish and Anzac trenches), Steele’s Post, Courtney’s Post Cemetery, Quinn’s Post Cemetery, and the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial.
- 11:30 AM: Attend the New Zealand National Ceremony at Chunuk Bair.
Return to Istanbul
- After the final ceremony, buses will pick up the group from the road.
- Drive back to Istanbul and drop off in front of the Hagia Sophia Museum, Sultanahmet.
